The Kalinga Institute of Management & Technology, Bhubaneswar was established in the year 2006 under the aegis of Kalinga Improvement & Educational Trust, Bhubaneswar. The Institute got the permission from Dept. of Higher Education (O) on 17/11/2007 to open college for imparting professional/management education in the challenging field of MFC, PMIR & BBA. The above courses have got affiliation from Utkal University, commencing the sixth batch for the session 2013-15 & 2013–16. The idea to establish this institute is, to create a centre of educational & professional excellence. The vision of the institution is to create a pool of highly educated human resource who can meet the ever increasing expectation of the corporate world. The course curriculum is designed in such a manner that it grooms the students into skilled professionals.
CLASSROOM: Spacious Class rooms fitted with A.C. and equipped with teaching aids and Auto-Visual equipment make learning at KIMT a stimulating experience.
LIBRARY: KIMT has an excellent Library Books, Periodicals, Journals (both national and international magazines), audio and video cassettes, CDs for ready reference. The Library is also equipped with past exam papers, project reports and other reference materials. It is compulsory for students to spend at least one hour in Library to broaden the intellectual horizon through reading daily News Papers, Magazines and Reference books.
COMPUTER LAB: With growing advancement in technology, computer skills are must for any chosen field. In keeping up with this trend, KIMT has equipped the computer lab with all round facilities including internet & multi-media.The lab is accessible to every student on just a flash of institutes ID Card. All machines are Pentium based with broadband connectivity for 24 hours internet access.
FACULTY: The well qualified, experienced, dedicated and competent faculties are selected asa in house faculty to take care of the students for achieving highest potential.
VISITING FACULTY: Eminent Personality and Senior Professionals are also invited from institutes of international repute like IIMs, XIMB and also from public sector organizations namely SREI financial, HDFC bank, SIDBI, DPCL, Stock HOLDING Corp, Bajaj Allianz, GE Capital etc. to visit the campus and share their experience and give students a global outlook through interactive programmes.
STUDY MATERIALS: KIMT provides sufficient study materials to all students. Besides study materials, KIMT also provides bibliography of reference materials to all the students. The students are advised to refer to books mentioned in the bibliography for a better understanding of the subject.
Hostel Facility
The Institute provides separate hostels for boys & girls in the vicinity of the college. The facilities are customized to suit, every one’s need and budget. The institute provides medical facility to all the students once in a week
