The Fathima Memorial Training College, Mylapore was also established by Shri. A.Younus Kunju, ex-MLA. The college provides facilities and opportunities for the overall development of the teacher trainees. The clubs for Language, Mathematics, Science etc., are active. The college organises seminars on topics like AIDS awareness. Personality Development training is imparted to the students with the help of Art of Living.
The history of the institution can be traced back to the year 1997. At the time of inception there was an intake of 100 students. At present 170 students are studying in 6 optional subjects. The M.Ed section started functioning in the academic year 2010-’11 with an intake of 25 students.
