Iqbal Training College, Peringammala, managed by the Iqbal College Trust and named after the great poet Dr. Allama Mohammed Iqbal, was started in 2005. The campus includes High School, Higher Secondary School, Post Graduate College of Arts and Science, English Medium School and an Institute of Management. The extension activities of the Iqbal Training College include orientation for school teachers, Health awareness programmes for the people of Peringammala village, Medical camp, Road repair and supply of teaching aids to the nearby rural schools. As a consultancy service, the college conducts counselling, career guidance and personality development programmes for school students. The Physical Education department organizes sports and games. As part of the society-linked programmes, the college has adopted the nearby Njaraneeli tribal village. The college hopes to introduce MEd course soon. In the recent university examination, the college recorded 88% pass.
