St. Thomas Training College (STTC) was established by the Mar Thoma Church Educational Society (MTCES) in June 2005 which prepares students for the B.Ed Degree Exam. It is affiliated to the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) under the Affiliation No: FKL/SEC/N/247/SRO/NCTE/2004-2005/762 dt.23-2-05. It is situated at St. Thomas Nagar, Mukkolakkal, a sprawling educational campus in sylvan surroundings on the outskirts of Thiruvananthapuram city, 13 kms from the city. We give emphasis not only for academics but also for co-curricular activities for the all-round development of each student. The college has a team of well-qualified and dedicated teachers. It has 3 sister institutions-St. Thomas Residential School, St. Thomas Central School and St. Thomas Higher Secondary School.
STTC offers five optional subjects (English, Mathematics, Natural Science, Physical Science and Social Science) for B.Ed with 100 seats, 20 being in each subject. There are ten teaching staffs including the Principal and two part-time teachers.
Conveyance :An efficient transportation system operates to take the students to and from the school punctually and comfortably .Buses ply 22 different routes, making St. Thomas accessible to students from every part of the city and its suburbs.
Computer Centre
Educational Technology cum Language Lab :Educational Technology Lab melts the need of equipping the prospective teachers to meet the challenges of a technology driven era.
Infirmary:The Minor ailments and medical problems of the students are attended to at a well equipped infirmary which functions throughout the day.
Bank: An extension counter of the Canara Bank situated on the campus facilitates all types of monetary transactions. Payment of tuition fees, conveyance charges, exam fees and other deposits can be made through this bank which facilitates financial transactions on all week days from 9 am to 1 pm and on Saturdays from 9 am to 11 am.
Chapel: The beautiful chapel centrally placed in the picturesque St. Thomas grounds has become the pivotal point for all the spiritual activities in the Campus.
