Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Mullana - Ambala, erstwhile known as Maharishi Markandeshwar Education Trust was founded with the objective of social, educational and economic upliftment of society in the year 1993, in the name of Lord Shiva’s devotee, “Maharishi Markandeshwar Ji”. MM University Trust, Mullana - Ambala has become a symbol of quality education in technical, professional and medical streams in northern India and has been carrying on its lineage for over 20 years.
M.M. University is having more than 14 Libraries in its fold. The Libraries of the Campus are Air Conditioned and Computerized. University collection comprising Books, Cd’s, Videos, Thesis, Standards and Back Volumes in all Campus Libraries came to 155388 with 30520 nos. of titles. The University Subscribes to 5078 Journals. More than 1500 seats are available for its users to be accommodated at a time.
Computer Centre: Computer Centre is a central facility, which caters to the needs of different academic departments and various sections of the University. The mission of Computer Centre at MMU Mullana is to create and maintain a computing environment for the pursuit of academic excellence. The ultimate aim of the centre is to provide professional services, promote and assist the use of new computing technology among the students, staff and administration. Computer Centre aspires to be a leading computational facility in higher education.
Transport Facilities:Transport facility with a fleet of nearly 80 Deluxe / A.C. buses for staff and students commuting from nearby areas of Ambala, Chandigarh, Jagadhri, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Panchkula, Yamunanagar, Patiala etc, is available at affordable charges. The bus routes are well planned to cover the entire nearby cities in such a manner that the daily commuters feel convenient as well as comfortable.
Hostel Facility
University offers comprehensive hostel facilities within the University campus. We understand that most of our students are moving away from home for the first time, so we strive to make the transition as smooth as possible by offering comfortable and safe hostels within the campus, providing a homely atmosphere. University offers separate magnificent hostels for boys and girls with hostel warden in each hostel to supervise day to day management. All the rooms have been designed to provide adequate moving space and ample air and light. Each hostel has its own mess providing hygienic and nutritious meals three times a day.
A joint Placement Cell is making constant efforts at the University level, to coordinate the training and placement activities of all the Institutions under MMU. More than300 companies have visited various Institutions of MMU for on Campus Placements.
