Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil College, Urun-Islampur was established in 1961 with the aim of providing higher education to the rural society. The college is located on a seven acres plot with well equipped infrastructure. This college is imparting education to near about 7000 students every year from H.S.C. to P.G. level. It offers various regular and distance U.G. and P.G. courses of Shivaji University, Kolhapur and Y.C.M.O.U. Nashik. We aim at developing critical ability, work ethics and personality development of our students.
Library : Maharshi Vithal Ramji Shinde Library is the Central Library located in the college. Reference books, text books, periodicals and state, national and international magazines are available with past and present volumes and editions.
Internet facility is available to all students, faculties and administrative staff.
Audio Visual Center: College has following audio visuals equipments to enrich our teaching quality of several departments. We use these equipments for effective teaching – learning and to organize workshops, seminars and conferences.
LCD Projector, OHP, Tape Recorder, TV, CD/DVD.
Infotech centre: The college has info-tech center, where students have the internet facility for two hours according to their allotted days. It has separate 10 computers with trained care taker. Students use this facility for acquiring knowledge about their respective fields, for employment news and for filling different examination forms of university, government and non - government services.
Gymkhana: College has well equipped Gymnasium hall.
College canteen is run by private caterer on contract basis. Healthy and hygienic dishes are provided at affordable price. Students are very much fond of the canteen service.
Hostel Facility
We have boys hostel with 27 rooms, which can accommodate 50 students at a time. The priority of hostel facility is given to those students who belong to weaker sections of the society.
With the help of UGC girls’ hostel is under construction having accommodation capacity up to 144. The estimate of this project is of Rs. 1 Crore.
