Sri Balamurugan Arts and Science College is a Dynamic Institute of Higher Education run by Sri Balamurugan Educational and Charitable Trust. The College was started in June 2004 with a view to imparting higher education to students who come from rural areas. The College is situated in a serene location keeping it insulated from the hustle and bustle of the city. The College is making a stride in providing comprehensive Arts and Science education. It aims as inculcating the feeling of oneness, discipline, character and social awareness in the minds of young students. Man-making and character-building education is the ultimate motto of the Institution. A sincere attempt is made for developing academic as well as human excellence.
Library: The College has a knowledge packed library. Every year information on various subjects is updated by the addition of latest publications including professional journals and magazines, periodicals and dailies. Library is kept open from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm on all working days. The Library of the College covers an area of 900 sq.ft. and houses more than 3,000 books and over 15 National and International journals and magazines.
Bus: Good Transport facilities are available for the day scholars and staff members. Free bus service is available for all 1st year students and meritorious students.
Canteen: The Canteen provides a variety of wholesome tasty snacks and food at reduced rates.
Laboratories: The College is situated in a spacious campus , with building worth crores of rupees, a well equipped computer lab having one hundred and seventeen computers with Intel Pentium-IV and Intel Dual Core processors, LCD colour monitors and nodes served by the one powerful Pentium pro server operating system under UNIX Network and also well equipped laboratories for Physics and Chemistry.
Physical Education : To make the student have a sound mind in a sound body, different sports and athletic programmes including yoga are conducted.
