Lalit Chandra Bharali College, established on 9th August, 1971 and situated at easily accessible location, was started at the initiative of the neighborhood and the generous financial help of the donor after whom the College is named. It was established to cater to the needs of the students of the periphery areas of Guwahati in particular and the state as a whole.

	Eligibility Students from Institutes conducting accredited courses : Level 'O'/ Government recognised polytechnic engineering diploma after class 10. Followed in each case, by an accredited 'A' Level course (no concurrency). A Government recognised polytechnic engineering diploma after 10+2/ Graduate and an accredited 'A' Level course in each case (May be concurrent). This advanced diploma level (equivalent to PGDCA or PPDCA) will give proof of the candidate's skills as a programmer
