Shiv College of Education

Shiv College of Education established in 1992 the first and the only B.Ed. College of District Faridabad, established under the aegis of Dehat Vikas Educational Society (Regd.) at a village which is situated in heart of vast rural area. This is the only self financing B. Ed. College in Haryana which is duly accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The college is sincerely committed to maintain high academic standard and also adheres to the norms and conditions as laid down by the university and the National Council for Teacher Education as also the directions issued by the Directorate of Higher Educational from time to time.

Library: To inculcate habit of self study, the college has a well equipped library. The college library has two sections: One for M.Ed. Programme and other is for B.Ed & D.Ed Programme with latest fixtures, furniture and having a collection of over 15,838 Books, subscribing to around 23 national journals, 1 international journal and 21 magazines. It has a seating capacity of 110 students. Research papers, dissertations, thesis journals (back editions) are also available for reference. The college library is also a member of DELNET for online access to books and journals. The college also has a book bank facility for the needy students. The college provides facilities for photo copying, printing and scanning through high speed photo copier in the library.
Seminar Room: The ultra modern seminar room is having a seating capacity of 100 persons for conducting seminars, workshops, etc.
Multi-purpose Hall: The college has well-ventilated and furnished hall with a seating capacity of 400 students. Beautiful decorated and lighted stage gives a platform to the budding talents. The spacious hall utilized to conduct extension lectures, morning assembly and a number of college functions.
Health and Physical Education Room: The college provides a rich programme of co-curricular activities for teacher trainees for the all round development of their personalities. The college has facilities for games namely badminton, volleyball, handball, basketball, table tennis and kho-kho for the students. Inter class tournaments are held throughout the year.
Language Lab: The lab is well equipped with hardware and software such as linguaphone, study material, VCD, TV, audio cassettes recorder, educational CDs and head phones for language learning by the students. All these facilities are available in the lab to facilitate the teaching and learning of the language. There is a good collection of charts and models to develop different language skill.
