The dreams of its founding fathers took shape in 1998 in the form of Lingaya’s Institute of Management & Technology (LIMAT) which was established with approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), in the memory of great freedom fighter Late Shri. Gadde Lingaya who sacrificed his life for freedom of his motherland. The LIMAT was converted to Lingaya’s University with approval under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, by the MHRD, Govt. of India and UGC, in the year 2009, vide Notification No.F.9-23/2005-U3 dated 05-01-2009. The Lingaya’s University offers various under-graduate and post graduate courses in Engineering, Technology, Management, Computer Application, Architecture, Education, Science and Humanities. With an ideal teacher-student ratio, it strives for academic excellence through personalized attention. Since its inception, the University has achieved national standing in terms of academic performance, co-curricular and extracurricular activities and also in its growth and commitment to social service.
The Lingaya’s University is located at Nachauli, Faridabad. The University’s objectives and mission are to facilitate and promote studies, research and extension work with a focus on professional education in the emerging areas of higher education in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Management, Education, Science and Humanities, to achieve excellence in these and related fields, and to equip the students to become effective professionals with good career prospects for meeting the emerging industrial needs of the Country. It has a sprawling campus situated in green pastures and pollution free sylvan surroundings. Academic blocks, Air-Conditioned Modern Library, Workshops, Laboratories, Excellent Computer Centre, Auditorium, Student Activity Centre, Play Grounds, Hostels etc. are spread over 26.5 acres of land. In addition to imparting knowledge, the University also functions as a centre for fostering and developing the body, mind and spirit of its students. Academic excellence with moral values, has led to national recognition for this University.
Hostel Facility
Lingaya’s University provides excellent air-cooled on campus hostel facility for boys and girls with comfortable boarding and lodging. The hostel is well equipped with the facilities for the students such as Plasma TV with Dish Connection, guest rooms, common rooms, sick bay, running hot water, 24hrs power backup, gymnasium, library and the Internet facility through Wi-Fi etc. Each room is equipped with furniture set for every student. A small and beautiful swimming pool is in place at the boys hostel.
The standard of excellence of our courses is reflected in the success of our students in both industry and academic fields in India & abroad. Building professional contacts on a personal level, students are well supported by the Training and Placement Cell which offers them a continuous and progressive training for development of their personal, social, inter-personal and professional skills right from the first year of admission. Professional and specialized trainings are imparted through group discussions, interviews and competitive examinations. Students are guided to plan their career, for proper settlement as renowned Engineers, Technocrats, Managers, Entrepreneurs, Self-employers, Researchers and also for further higher studies. Campus interviews are conducted by several employers, with full support and cooperation from Training & Placement Cell.
