Prathyusha Engineering College, Chennai popularly known as PEC is the brain child of the well known industrialist and philanthropist Shri. P. Raja Rao, the founder Chairman of the Governing Board of the College. PEC is a self-financed Telugu Minority Institution approved by AICTE, affiliated to Anna University, accredited by NBA and a recipient of ISO certification. The college offers 6 UG courses and 4 PG Courses with an annual intake of 668 students. The over all students strength of the college is 2500.
PEC is located just 30 KMs away from Chennai Central Station on the Poonamalle - Tiruvallur road at a hamlet called Aranvoyalkuppam in spacious serene and invigorating surroundings, far from the maddening crowd and the hustle and bustle of the urban locale. The lush green campus provides an ideal and congenial atmosphere to pursue education without any external distractions like noise, sound and air pollution. PEC's well planned and aesthetically designed eco-friendly campus is spread over 45 acres of land and has more than 4,00,000 Sq. ft. of built-in area.The campus has ultra modern but environmental friendly facilities and landscaped garden.
Computing Facility, Internet Facility & Wi-Fi
library : The library is housed in a spacious area of 1745 sq.m., fully computerized and air-conditioned with Circulation section, Book acquisition section, Periodical section Technical section , Reference Section & Magazine Section. Presently there are more than 13242 titles and 59085 volumes, In Reference section students projects, question bank, magazines, News papers & back volumes. Our library follows the open access system and is encouraging students to browse in the stack area. The library subscribes more than 654 online journals and 121 Indian journals. We are also a member British Council Library, Delnet, and Anna University.
Transportations: A full-fledged Transport department functions in the college with 45+ buses, to provide transport facility to students and staff from various places and this service is offered ensuring a hassle-free and safe transportation. Students who wish to avail themselves of the facility of the college bus regularly will have to collect identity card after remitting the prescribed charges.
Canteen and Cafeteria: PEC has the facility of spacious, clean and hygienic canteens and cafeterias that caters to the taste of all students and staff. The College has two canteens and three cafeteria ( includes Coffee-Day & Juice Shop) inside the campus in which variety of dishes are available at most nominal rates. In canteens,South Indian vegetarian and non-vegetarian food, hygienically prepared by trained chefs is served every day to suit all.
Temples:PEC has a Vinayakar Temple inside the campus known for its serene atmosphere and picturesque surroundings. Elaborate ceremonies are performed during the Navarathri festival. The temple has the shrine of Lord Vinayaka and a Shiva Lingam.
Generator: A standby power generator is provided in the campus to take care of the occasional power shut down due to maintenance. Total 385kva capacity generator is operated inside the campus.
Internet: The entire campus is connected by Internet with 12 mpbs bandwidth. The admin building has wireless computing network. The campus has 1500 computers equipped in laboratories with TFT monitors.
ATM:The institute has 24 x 7 ATM facility of Indian Bank for the benefit of students and staff.
Hostel Facility
Separate hostel facilities for Boys and Girls are provided in a homely atmosphere with well furnished, spacious Rooms are available for both BOYS and GIRLS separately.
