Modern Engineering & Management Studies (MEMS) has been established in the year 2008 for promoting the technical education in the field of Engineering and Management etc for the aspiring youth. It is built in a well planned pollution free environment. It is located in Balasore, the Sand City of Orissa and the Missile Test Centre of India. Built in an area of about 1,00,000 square feet of technical infrastructure, it promises to provide the best possible technical education in Orissa. The campus is built at Banparia on NH 5 near Kuruda, which is only 5 Km from Balasore Railway Station and the Bus Stand.
AC LECTURE HALL: The institute provides adequate number of AC Lecture halls which are well-equipped with Modern design standards. These halls are excellent for focusing the attention of a large group on a single point with the help of LCD and audio visual equipment for best practice of theoretical concepts.
CONFERENCE HALL AND SEMINAR HALL: MEMS has one conference hall and one seminar hall equipped with audio visual, multimedia facilities designed for conducting the seminars, workshops, orientation programmes etc.
INTERNET FACILITY: The college has a 24 hours 10 MBPS broadband connectivity. The departments are networked with LAN/WAN, connecting all the labs, staff rooms and library. The Network operation centre is equipped with two IBM servers and hosts for the different software. There are more than 410 computers with latest configuration in all the labs.
CENTRAL LIBRARY: The Central Library of the college has a vast collection of over 21,000 information resources that include technical and general volumes, ready references, encyclopedia, theses, magazines, CD-ROMs and newspapers. These resources are upgraded every year and subscriptions are renewed for technical journals of national and international acclaim.
TRANSPORT SERVICES:MEMS is located at Banaparia, Kuruda, Balasore, on NH-5 which is only 5 Kms from both Balasore Railway station and bus stand. MEMS has its own fleet of 10 buses which caters to the transport needs of students, staff and visiting faculties as well as guests provide links from campus to Balasore, Bhadrak and Soro.
STUDENT CANTEEN, STATIONARY SHOP & CAFETERIA : The student canteen provides breakfast, lunch and dinner to the students staying in the hostels and dayscholars as per their requirement. It also serves chinese foods as well as oriya and Bengali cuisine
BANK: SBI ( In campus with ATM facility): A branch of State Bank of India is functioning within the campus with ATM Facility. It also provides financial assistance in terms of study loan to the students.
Yoga :MEMS organises periodic Yoga classes for the young Engineers of tomorrow.
Wi-Fi Campus :The institution provides Wi-fi campus for the students. Which facilitates them in accessing study materials even when they are inside the hostel campus or present in any location in the campus.
MODERN ENGINEERING BUSINESS INCUBATION CENTRE (MEBIC): MEBIC got the recognition of a Technology Business Incubator (TBI) in 2011 by DC-MSME, Government of India vide letter No-6(19)/(NMCP)Incubator/meeting/2012-13. As a Technology Business Incubator, it has been networked with all TBIs in the country through various networks. It is also a member DST-NIMAT and EDI, Govt. of India. Recently we have got approval of five new business ideas of our students for new innovation. It is a learn and earn opportunity for our students.
Hostel Facility
The institution provides ample facilities for hostel accommodation for both boys and girls. There are two separate girls hostels( one within the campus and one outside the campus) and two boys hostels likewise. The hostels are spacious, safe and secured with a cordial environment and surrounded by pleasant landscapes.
