Extra Curricular Activities at BKSJEC Your journey at BKSJEC will start with a talent hunt wherein your unique capabilities will be identified and based on your interests you will get ample opportunities to contribute to cultural events, sports competitions, computer gaming, NCC activities, NSS camps etc. The campus hosts various national and international events, cultural programmes, music concerts, plays, flash mobs etc during the entire academic year. Festival Celebrations and Talent Hunt Shows Campus celebrates lots of festivals and all famous United Nations Days like Women’s Day, Radio Day, and Electronic Greetings Day etc. Lots of celebrities and accomplished persons visit our campus every year from all around the world. Famous TV channels like MTV, Colors conducts their talent hunt programmes at our campus to select participants for their reality shows. FM Radio Jockeys come to our campus for their live shows regularly. Each department has various clubs which conducts lots of departmental activities to provide regular opportunities to students to participate in extra-curricular activities. Life at BKSJEC will give you lot of varied experiences and exposures to ensure that you grow at professional, personal, spiritual, social and intellectual level.
Library: The college has a well spacious and capacious library which is automated and well stocked with about 9315 volumes, 1900 titles, 08 national and international journals, 15 various weekly fortnightly and monthly magazines of related fields. 9 periodical English, Hindi, Punjabi newspapers etc. In addition the college has also a number of CDs, DVDs, VCDs, Maps, slides, presentations files, discussion papers regarding different trades. College library is equipped with latest library soft wares to provide an effective service and scholar friendly atmosphere. The college is proud to offer an air-conditioned reading space in the library from the current sessio.
Transportation: A full fledged Transport department functions in the college with buses to provide transport facility to students and staff from various places.This service is offered ensuring a hassle-free and safe transportation.The College runs 25 buses for providing transport facility to students from various places in the city.The number of buses will be increased corresponding to the increase in the intake of students.
Computer Lab: There are Computer Lab For Learning Technologies computer labs across campus. These lab spaces are used for scheduled BKSJGI classes, general drop-in/open-use for BKSJGI students, and summer conferences. Lab computers require logging on with an active CruzID & Blue password. Below are general categories and links to common services related to ITS Learning Technologies computer labs. Beyond the computer labs, there are also computer workstations and Engineering libraries.Lab computer platforms include Macintosh, Windows, and Unix (Linux). Capacity in computer labs ranges from eight to 48 workstations, and locations are distributed throughout the BKSJGI campus. In some locations, computer labs are equipped with specialized instrutional technology equipment (HD data projectors, scanners, and video editing stations).
Wifi Facility: The whole campus is well connected through wired as well as wireless networks. Students are able to have access to internet with 10 mbps connectivity. The coverage of Wi-Fi is not only restricted to class rooms but also extends to all the areas including library, auditorium, cafeteria, and hostels. Eventually, it enables BKSJEC to switch over to innovative and recent teaching and learning methodologies.
Canteen: Canteens and cafeterias are one of the important parts of student life where you can find most of students chatting and gossiping on different topics. It plays a vital role in removing tensions and refreshing students. The college canteen is fairly new and provides enough and delicious food at affordable rates. Baba Kuma Singh Ji Group of institute has the facility of spacious, clean and hygienic canteens and cafeterias that caters to the taste of all students. Canteens can conveniently accommodate 250 students at a time. The College has a 3 canteens and one cafeteria inside the campus in which variety of dishes are available at most nominal rates. The canteens and cafeterias remain open on all working days. It provides all types of nutritious and hygienic eatables and beverages to cater to the students, staff and visitors. One can enjoy delicious food at a very reasonable price. We have exclusively added Ice-cream parlor, a store of Monginis and some coffee points to our facility within the campus of the engineering college that is open from 7:30am to 9:30 pm daily. You can easily get various types of eateries from local food to various fast foods. In the morning you can start your day with a sip of tea and some eatables. For lunch we offer all kinds variety rice, chapatti, paratha etc.
Placement Service Available: The department is a centralized facility for students of all the courses of the BKSJEC. The department not only conducts campus placements for it’s own students but also joint campus placements by for all the students from North India. Big national and international brands participate in the campus placements / joint campus placements.
