Gurukula College of Engineering For Womens (GCEW)

The GCEW, founded in the later part of 2005 and located at the emerging centre of the temple city, Bhubaneswar commenced its journey of consolidation and expansion right from the day of its inception along the road of realizing its vision. Induction of qualified and experienced faculty, construction of ergonomically designed classrooms and laboratories, installation of modern equipment and machinery, procurement of texts, references and journals, providing good dining, residential and transport facilities to the students, and creating excellent infrastructure for games and sports have been some of the steps in that direction. These along with many more being executed will surely usher in a stimulating academic ambience at the institute to enrich the teaching-learning process and to turn the entrants into creative and competent engineering graduates ingrained with human values.

Library: A well furnished and fully digitalized computerized library, with a rich collection of books and periodicals, caters to the needs of the students and faculty members. The library has a collection over 6,000 titles and 40,000 volumes.
Transport: We covered all the route through our bus system. The college is situated near the NH5 through which students get much more facilities from the college These buses bring the students and staff to the campus in the morning before commencement of the class work and return back after the completion of the classwork.
Computing Facilities: The facilities include 350 Intel Core-i computers, running on operating systems, namely Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Solarish8, Sco Unix and Linux and housed in six large air conditioned laboratories. Through LAN, Linux and Window NT servers connect all the computers.
WorkShop and Laboratories:The workshop is well equipped with machines and tools to cater to the academic requirement of doing jobs.
 
 Hostel Facility
The hostels have their own mess which is managed by the students and the warden. Senior faculty members also frequently supervise this facility. TGOI ensures that the hostels are well-managed and meet the needs of its students.
