VVIT was established under Social Educational Trust in Nambur village, Pedakakani mandal of Guntur district by Sri. Vasireddy Vidya Sagar the eldest son of Late Sri Vasireddy Appa Rao. Vision of the college is to impart quality education through exploration and experimentation and generate socially-conscious engineers, embedding ethics and values, for the advancement in science and technology.
library: The college has a computerized library well equipped with a large collection of books under the categories of academics, reference and general. All the books are bar-coded and indexed using the latest library management software. The library also subscribes to both national and international magazines, journals and periodicals in addition to leading national dailies.
Canteen: VVIT takes pride in claiming that we have one of the best and the most experienced team that takes care in preparing and catering healthy food in a hygienic environment.
Sports: VVIT play ground has the facilities for games like Cricket, Volleyball, Tennicoit, Badminton, along with athletic events while Chess, Table tennis and Caroms are played in the indoor arena.

Separate hostel facility with an integrated mess is provided for both boys and girls.
