Shenthil Velevan Charitable Trust has been started in the year 2008 by four devoted philanthropists with a motive of taking higher education to the village and rural people at all levels of economic platform. Being involved in managing successful business establishments for more than two decades, the members decided to develop the trust with a non profit motive by donating their own hard earned money. As a token of instigation for its humanitarian activities, the trust has decided to start a technical institution to serve the needy rural people in the outskirts of Tirupur, where the number of technical institutions is much less than that of nearby districts. The trust has invested profusely on developing the infrastructure such as buildings, laboratories, hostels and necessary amenities beyond the requirements of the University and AICTE. Apart from the promoted technical institution, the trust engages itself in providing free education to the poor and needy students by the way of sponsoring tuition fee.
Library : The Library is functioning in a building having a built up area of 403.72 Sqm and it has a seating capacity of 100. In addition to the Central library, there are departmental libraries in each department, which borrows books from the main library for quick reference. The library has more than 24024 volumes of books on 7432 titles covering all disciplines of engineering and technology, science & humanities & Management studies. The library also has a collection of 123 back volumes of journals and magazine and 8104 Non book materials which includes 1008 educational oriented CDs, audio, video cassettes, NPTEL Videos, E-Books and Monographs. Anna University previous years questions papers are available from the year 2003 to current year for students’ reference.
Internet Facility: A centralized internet hub is available for all students and staff members. Our reputed institution has state of the art networking services & internet facility round the clock for upgrading the practical knowledge of the students. A separate well-designed air-conditioned Internet Centre with latest computer systems is functioning in our laboratory and also the campus is provided with Wi-Fi facility.
Conference Hall: Our Institution firmly believes in providing its student’s exposure to national and international knowledge experts, through regular national and international conferences / symposia and workshops hosted on campus.
Transportations : The Institution buses transport all students from, and to, all the locations in and around Tirupur.
ATM: JSRGI has setup ATM service inside the Institution for the benefit of students as well as for the faculty members. These are strategically located for easy access by our students. All our students and staff members are making use of this ATM service. ATM Service is also available for the hostel students inside the campus
Hostel Facility
The Hostel facilities are available to both boys and girls. Hygienic and healthy food has been served to the students’. The menu has been decided and administered by the students. Simply it is a home away from home. The hostel adds a dimension of vigor and commitment to the academic and extra- curricular ambience to the institution.
