Abdul Kalam Institute of Technological Sciences (AKITS), Khammam was established under the aegis of Global Educational Society. Digital Library: A digital library is a collection of documents in organized electronic form, available on the Internet or on CD-ROM (compact-disk read-only memory) disks. Depending on the specific library,a user may be able to access magazine articles, books, papers, images, audio files & videos.On the Internet, the use of a digital library is enhanced by a broadband connection such as cable modem or DSL. On CD-ROM, the amount of data is limited to several hundred megabytes (MB) per disk, but access is generally much faster than on an Internet connection. Several CD-ROMs can be combined in a set, and becomes a large digital library.
Seminar Hall: The institute is provided a very spacious conference hall enabling 300 to 400 students to assemble for holding any seminars, workshops, symposiums or conferences. All the infrastructures required for a conference hall such as the public announcing system, LCD projector, Acoustic and sound control etc.
Sports and Games: The Institute has given well importance to the sports activities and for promoting competitive spirit in the students and take part in different types of sports and games such as sufficient space for laying courts such as valley ball, foot ball, cricket, tennis etc. Besides outdoor games the institute has provided good support for the indoor games such as caroms, chess, table tennis etc.
Internet Facility: Internet facility is available to the students in the computer science laboratory. The Students are provided access to wi-fi Internet during and after the working hours of the college from where the students can get unlimited information about the developments in their respective fields of education.
Medical Facilities: Prompt medical facility is a very important aspect of the boarding life that cannot be overlooked. Abdulkalam gives priority to the medical care with modern amenities, providing round the clock medical attention. A panel of qualified and experienced doctors conducts medical checkups. Abdulkalam has tie-ups with the renowned hospitals and other local specialty hospitals to provide immediate medical attention whenever required.The College has its own fleet of buses for transporting students and staff, to and from different locations. In-house transportation facilities are available for our students & staff. College buses are used for hospital visits for clinical rotation, industrial visit, inters college sports & competitions. In addition, transportation facilities are provided for day scholars, hostilities and staff for daily commuting.

Placement Service Available: The Institute helps each student in exploring placement opportunities by inviting various companies for campus recruitment of students who are in the final year of the programme and are likely to graduate at the end of the academic year.The final placements, at the Institute, are a result of very systematic interaction with the industry and continuous career counseling of the students. Right from the beginning of the programme, students are continuously counseled with regard to his/her career aspirations and options, which in turn is vigorously followed up with the potential companies for participating in the placement programme of the Institute. This not only helps the students in getting their ‘dream’ jobs but also assists the visiting placement companies in identifying the ‘right’ candidate for their organization.
