The Institute of Science, Poona's IBMR was established in the year 1984. With the vision of Founder Director Mr. N. C. Joshi, a prominent educationist and an active member of University of Pune. IBMR has attained a name in management arena, imparting quality education to building managers and entrepreneurs for their better tomorrow. IOS, Wakad, Pune is an 'Innovative Movement' of knowledge and skills through research and scientific efforts. Management education and placement activity being attuned to the changing requirement of the business.
The "IOS" has got most encouraging and facilitating infrastructure. The spacious classrooms with new and comfortable benches and chairs will facilitate learning and teaching processes quite effectively to the advantage of both students and the teachers.Prof.Nitesh Behare co-ordinated the event. Set in premises of 4000 sq. feet, with 21000 books, 67 periodicals, 12 dailies, management videos and CD-ROMs covering a whole spectrum of management topics, with a constant stream of information trickling in through periodicals, journals, a data bank set up by the students of the Institute, annual reports of various companies etc. all go a long way in ensuring that as far as management awareness is concerned, not a drop is to be spared.
Training and Placement Cell is an integral part of the institute. The institute has provided complete infrastructure for effective functioning of the cell. Training activities are organized throughout the year in an effort towards preparing the prospective students for the campus selection programmes.
