St. Pious X Degree & PG College for women is a Catholic minorty Institution established and administered by the Society of Catechist Sister of St.Ann, Hyderabad, under the article 30(1) according to the Constitution of India.We had our humble beginning in 1993 with a small group of 90 students. Within a short span of time, we have carved a niche as one of the best colleges for its academic standard. The serene campus is spread over 4 acres of land, with state-of-art laboratories, spacious and well ventilated class rooms. A spacious auditorium, modern conference hall, Audiovisual room are the additional facilities. Currently, we are offering 13 graduate and 6 Post graduate programs
Library: Our computerized library is stacked with a vast variety of books on various subjects, which are verified and updated every year personally by the staff members. Students have access to a lending library, reference library and e-library, Xerox facilities and a good number of national and international journals, current and back volumes
Prayer Room: The chapel of St. Pious is open for all irrespective of religion and is a peaceful place where a person can be with herself and enjoy the tranquility.
Cafeteria: A hygienic and appetizing canteen caters to the students and staff with a healthy breakfast, stimulating beverages and refreshments.The Cafeteria provides variety of breakfast items, snacks, beverages and one can have a wonderfully fun filled and relaxed time.
Gymnasium: A moderate gym is provided for the students to keep their mind out and body fit. It is a great help for the students to have physical exercise.
Parking: The college also has enough parking space allotted to increasing number of student’s 2 and 4 wheeled vehicles.
Auditorium : The college has a spacious auditorium that can accommodate 500 members with its state-of-the-art acoustics and other accessories that contribute to the success of all cultural and other events conducted here.
Conference Hall: The college has provided a large conference hall wherein seminars, extension lectures and workshops are often conducted. They are equipped with audio-visual facilities, LCD projectors & smart boards
Photocopier: To meet the emergency communication needs and to have a copy of essential topics from an expensive book, the college supports the students by providing Telephone and Photocopier facilities in the campus.
Internet : Internet Services are made available. Students can use these services to access information pertaining to their course of study.
Mineral Water Plant: To provide safe and clean drinking water, a state-of-the-art mineral water plant has also been setup.
Hostel Facility
The college hostel is “Home away from home” for outstation students, providing facilities at a subsidized rate. The conducive atmosphere is ideal for moulding the students into responsible and independent adults. The hostel has 77 rooms 3 reading rooms and neat spacious dining hall. Each living room is provided with individual bathing and toilet facilities. The inmates are provided with recreational facilities like television, VCD, indoor games. The students in the hostel represent almost all the states of India.
