North Bengal St. Xavier’s College is a Christian Minority Institution established in 2007 by Darjeeling Jesuits of North Bengal with permanent affiliation to University of North Bengal.The college offers undergraduate courses in Arts, Science, Commerce and Business Administration. It also offers UGC-affiliated career oriented courses.
Science Laboratories: The College has spacious and well equipped laboratories for Zoology, Microbiology, Botany, Chemistry, Computer Science, Physics and Geography provided with sophisticated modern instruments and apparatus for smooth execution of practical classes.
Library: Our college has ample number of books related to the courses taught here. The college also subscribes specialist journals, periodicals, newsletters, trade magazines and newspapers in order to help our students keep abreast of all the latest trends and advances in their chosen field, be it arts, science, computing, business, travel etc.
Canteen & Cafetaria (X-TASY): We have a large canteen named X-TASY with additional open air seating arrangements in the shadow of tall palm trees near the bank Korotova River where students can meet in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere outside class room hours.
Auditorium: The Campus has a large auditorium with a seating capacity of about 1000. It hosts all major events ranging from the X-travaganza (cultural festival), X-Cellence day (College Day), X-uberance (Annual Sports), Farewell, Annual Convocation etc.
Seminar Hall / Conference Room: The seminar hall is well equipped with state-of-the-art audio-visual and presentation tools to facilitate smooth presentations. All the interactive sessions and the interface with the experts from different institutions and the corporate world take place in this hall.
Hostel Facility
Our Boys and Girls residences are well equipped with facilities which create homely atmosphere. The hostels and residences are surrounded by sprawling greenery and tea gardens on the banks of the fabled Korotova River.
