The Department of Parasitology, Veterinary College, Hebbal, Bangalore became functional from the year 1960 and courses were offered for undergraduate students of Veterinary Science. Post-graduate programme for Masters degree (MVSc.) in Parasitology was started from 1974 and the Ph.D degree programme was started in 1982.The main activities of the department are teaching, research, training, diagnostic services and consultation services on parasitic diseases.
There is a well equipped seminar hall, research laboratory and facilities for immunological studies, a library consisting of text books and manuals and audio visual aids.
Hostel Facility
There is separate hostel for both Boys and Girls students.
Scholarship Facility
Students are provided scholarship based on their merit.
