Kunwar Satyavira College of Engineering & Management (Formerly, Vira College of Engineering) was established by Vira Charitable Society Dharamnagri, Bijnor, An educational Society which is devoted to the cause of spreading education in the area and established about a dozen Institutions from nursery level to post graduate level, both for boys and girls. Kunwar Satyavira College of Engineering & Management, Bijnor (Formerly, Vira College of Engineering) is a further step taken by the Society in the field of higher technology filled with the aim of preparing the youth of the State for the challenges of 21st century.
The Institute was established in the year 1999. It is duly approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, Ministry of Human Resource and Development, Government of India and Government of Uttar Pradesh, and is affiliated to Mahamaya Technical University, Noida.The College was established in the year 1999 and is duly approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to Mahamaya Technical University, Noida. The first batch of the college was passed out in the year 2003 and till date nine batches have been passed out.
The vast campus of the College spreading over 10 acres of land in the heart of the city is complete with all infrastructures developed for imparting high level technical education and catering to the present needs of national and multinational industries.
The Library has a rich collection of text books and journals along with reference books on various aspects of Engineering & Management related subjects. The library has around 3000 titles and 30,000 books of different disciplines. Moreover, The Institute Library is a member of DELNET (Developing Library Network) through which the students have access to books, periodicals, articles etc from the premier institutes of the country. The Institute also provide the Book Bank Facility to the students.The finest Computing Environment exists with computer labs having sate of art Technological Equipments, hardware, software & Internet Facilities. The Institute has 24 hours Broadband Connectivity. This give ample opportunities to students to work on latest technologies on website & its designing, System Software & Application Software development along with Electronics Circuit simulation and designing, ORCAD, MATLAB, Motor CAD. The Institute also has very sophisticated software called Lab View, which is used by the Electrical as well as Electronics Laboratories. Vira College of Engineering has a panel of doctors to deal with emergency situations. There is a tie-up with a hospital in close proximity to the campus where the students can avail medical facilities at the nominal rates.
Hostel Facility
The Institute has separate on campus hostels for both boys & girls. All the required basic amenities like 24 hour power supply, telephone, water coolers with aqua guard purifier, news papers and magazines, Television Room, Guest Room etc are provided to the hostellers.
The College has a fully dedicated and operational T&P Cell, which interacts round the year with corporate houses to explore the possibility of training and placement of students. The Cell also explores the potential of students and organizes need based training for them.
About 95% of the passes out students have got job opportunities in both national & multinational companies of repute. We feel proud to mention that our students are not only working with private / public sectors but also serving in Government Organizations as well.
In the current year, the College has expanded its network for T&P activities widely and a large number of companies visited the college for selection of students and good number of students have been offered appointments in some of the best companies of the country.
