L.R. Polytechnic is affiliated to Himachal Pradesh Takniki Shiksha Board, Dharamsala and Approved by Director, Technical Education, Sundernagar, Himachal Pradesh, It was established in 2010 by the LLR Educational Trust. The college aims at providing Value Based Latest Scientific and Technical Education for achieving the highest level of professional competence to the students as per demand of modern industries that makes their placement anywhere in the world easy. The college also strives to inculcate disciplined living, honesty, integrity, high moral character and hard work so that these students may become good human beings and assets to the nation. We are committed to produce Technocrats who have balanced personalities with high character and disciplined life. LR polytechnic is known for providing high quality technical education through adopting innovative methods and techniques to improve quality of education consistently. We strongly believe that there is no dearth of jobs but the shortage of hardworking, willing and efficient workers has always been there. LR Group has separate hostel facilities for Boys & Girls The hostel rooms are equipped with all the modren facilities. These are spacious, well furnished hostels. Apart from hygienic foods, hostels provide recreational facilities including TVs, indoor games etc. Each hostel has its own wardens and a member of faculty who administers the hostels

Placement cell of L.R. Group has taken upon itself the onerous yet fulfilling task of assisting the students bettering their career prospect by providing them need based and result- oriented training programmes that help them achieve their need. This process is engaged through modern training facilities and innovative methodology which work at satisfying the objective of providing career guidance to students, co-ordination with prospective external agencies/industries/companies and suitably enriching the experience on both sides. The Placement Cell is headed by a committee that exerts itself in order to maintain the high level of interaction enjoyed by the companies with the students, thereby helping the latter to develop successful job strategies and career wise decision-making and other skills commensurate with the expectations of the industry. A good collection of reference books and pertinent articles are available for purposes of understanding the scope of operations better. The members in-charge are available on call to respond to students questions and concerns including advice on placement procedures, help with preparation of applications, curriculum vitae and reference letters etc
