The Institute of Technology and Engineering was established in 1983.It is the outcome of the new dynamic educational policy formulated by the Government of Maharashtra, under the leadership of the late Chief Minister Vasantaraodada Patil to open engineering colleges and polytechnics on non–grant basis. With the tremendous efforts of Hon’ble Shri Sharadchandraji Pawar, in bringing the continuous stream of technical knowledge to the rural area, our Institute is functioning successfully. The courses offered by the Institute are approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi., Govt. of Maharashtra and Directorate of Technical Education Mumbai(M.S) and affiliated to Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education, Mumbai-51
Library:The institute has well equipped library with 14605 books ,costing Rs. 32 lacs with national & international periodicals. Some more books are planned to purchase during the year.
A separate reading hall is provided for students and kept open between 8:00am to 12:00pm midnight. Daily news papers and other Magazines are also made available in Library.
Computer & InfoTech
Includes majority P-III & P-IV computers with latest configuration, LCD sharp projector & etc.
Hostel Facility
The College provides hostel facility at campus separately for boys and girls. The intake capacity for boys is 750 and that of girls is 510.The Institutive provides bed, writing table, chair, fan, tube light with table lamp connection for each inmate. The separate mess is adjoining the hostel building. Hostel rectors Co-ordinate and control the hostel activities. Students are strictly required to abide by rules of the hostel.
A separate Training and Placement cell is established in the institute to provide In-plant training opportunities to pre-final students and placement of final year students of Automobile, Mechanical, Electronics and Telecommunication, Information Technology, Computer and Civil engineering disciplines, in various industries.
