Rajalakshmi School of Architecture (RSA) was established in the year 2010 under the aegis of Rajalakshmi Educational Trust whose members have had consummate experience in the fields of Education and Industry. Affiliated to the Anna University, RSA follows a well established curriculum and syllabus that is constantly evolving based on current needs and recent architectural, cultural, social and technological developments.
The College has Design Studio, Art studio and model making workshop, Construction yard, Audio-Visual Room with individual computers, Computer center with architecture software, Library with 500 titles and magazine subscriptions
LIBRARY: The School of Architecture has an exclusive library that is within the confines of the School. It has a large collection of international books, journals and magazines that enrich the study of Architecture. The books are handpicked to complement the teaching philosophy of the school with the aim of providing the students a 3600 learning experience.
CAD LAB:The CAD lab has been established to cater to the training of all students with latest CAD&CAM software. The software available includes: Auto CAD , Revit Architecture, Google Sketchup, 3Ds Max, PPM & Primavera. Certification courses are being run for students by our faculty members.
CANTEEN: A canteen is functioning within the premises of the college to serve hygienically prepared food to the staff and students. A subsidized mess is also operated in the campus. A separate mess for boys has been provided.
TRANSPORT: A full fledged Transport department functions in the college with buses to provide transport facility to students and staff from various places.
DESIGN STUDIO:Design studios are incorporated in the syllabus every semester that graduate from basic design sensibilities in the first semester through single space designs, gradually increasing the scale, scope and complex contextualities of the design finally culminating in an individual large scale design fully researched, conceptualized, drafted and presented by the student in their Final semester Thesis.
Hostel Facility
We have separate hostel for boys and girls. The hostel can accommodate 400 boys and 400 girls. Single room accommodation is given to the final years and PG students. They are also permitted to use their own computers in their own rooms. The mess is spacious with a dining hall and kitchen. Separate seating arrangements are made for both boys and girls.
