Amritsar Group of Colleges is formerly known as Amritsar College of Engineering and Technology, Amritsar. Amritsar Pharmacy College, Amritsar Law College comes under AGC. ACET is accredited with Grade ‘A’ accreditation by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and the National Assessment & Accreditation Council (NAAC). Amritsar Group of Colleges possesses its own scholarship cum entrance exam i.e. AGC NEST 2021, and get an opportunity to get the scholarship up to 1.5 LAC. Amritsar Pharmacy College is affiliated to PCI (Pharmacy Council of India). AGC offers various graduate and undergraduate courses.
Library: The Central Library of Amritsar Group of Colleges, since its commencement in May 2002, in AGC’s Amritsar College of Engineering & Technology (ACET) campus; has been on the road of development on a daily basis. The library houses in 625 sq. ft. area of the College campus and consists of an adequately rich collection of books and works of literature, rich with the collection of over 67,500 books.In addition, a digital library is the part of the main central library and has access to 22 computers and more than 400 non-printed materials for the fulfillment of the requirement of the students.The library has a seating capacity of about 100 students at a time. It also has a separate reading hall. Moreover, the library includes various sections such as periodical section- subscribing more than 15 National and International journals in print foam and 200 E-Journals (National and International) by DELNET; and in the circulation section we are continuously available from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM for the issue and return of the books.Library follows the “Browne charging system” for the circulation, where in 3 tickets are issued to each student and all the college employees are entitled to get 4 books issued.
Transport Facility: The transport facility offered by the Amritsar Group of Colleges (AGC) is for the convenience of the students and the staff members. A Fleet of 38 comfortable buses run across Amritsar providing pick and drop facility to the students and staff across various areas of Amritsar including vicinity areas like Gurdaspur, Batala, Beas, Tarn Taran, Mehta and more. Our buses provide safe transportation and make every day traveling to and fro from AGC a joyful experience.
Medical Facilities: At Amritsar Group of Colleges (AGC) Amritsar, we pay special attention toward the health of every student as well as staff. The medical facilities are of prime importance at AGC campus.
Hostel Facility
Hostel Facilities Available: ACET provides top rate hostel accommodations for both boys and girls who are keen to study in Punjab. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Hostel is for boys. It features around 108 rooms and Kalpana Chawla Hostel is for girls featuring 54 rooms Situated within the campus, the hostels provide state of the art rooms equipped with necessary amenities. The rooms boast of Wi-Fi connectivity. Air Conditioned rooms are also available if required. The rooms of both the Hostels come with attached washrooms. They are well facilitated with water heaters and air coolers along with other facilities that make campus life easy, simple and comfortable for students studying in the Best Engineering College of Punjab.
