SD (PG) College

SD (PG) College, Panipat, a premier centre of higher learning, giving education upto the PG level with emphasis on all-round development of students, stands in the heart of the city at the G.T. Road. Its foundation stone was laid in 1968 by Ch. Bansi Lal, the then Chief Minister of Haryana, in the presence of Swami Gitanandji, the exponent of the holy Gita and the most authentic prophetic voice of Panipat. The college is governed by S.D. Education Society (Regd.) Panipat, which also runs in the town six more educational institutions, all having pre-eminent position in their respective spheres

A fully computerised library with many thousands of books, Journals and CD's is the haunt of curious students.  Our well-equipped ultra-modern labs in the departments of Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Home Science and 12 air-conditioned Computer labs having latest technology are the places where our curious students constantly learn the practical aspects of Scientific knowledge
 
 Hostel Facility
The Girls' Hostel is situated adjacent to the Girls' wing and provides accommodation to about 100 girl students who belong to far off areas. Every care is taken to maintain the quality and nutritional value of meals. A well-furnished common room, reading room and television lounge give a homely environment to the hostlers. A well-experienced lady professor supervises the security and other needs of the girls as hostel warden.
