MGM was established in 1982 by a group of professionals having a high career profile with commitment to social cause and determination to accomplish goals. The trust was registered with objectives to cater to the educational needs of the students of Maharashtra in general and Marathwada in particular.
Central Library:Central Library with internet facility, over 14,000 Medical books and large number of Indian and foreign journals
Laboratory:The institute has the ultramodern laboratories with full fledged with all the latest equipments such as HPLC, DNA sequencer, Gradient-PCR, Laboratory Fermentor, Gel Documentation system, ELISA reader, various blotting apartus, Plant tissue culture racks,CO2 incubator,-20 and -86 degree Celsius deep freezer, double distillation unit, UV visible spectrophotometer, cold centrifuge, inverted phase contrast Microscope, etc all the latest range of the equipments. The total investment on the laboratory is about 30 million rupees. The institutes work is continuously going in all the wings of biotechnology such as animal cell tissue culture lab, plant tissue culture lab, genetics research lab, biochemistry & molecular biology lab., and the Microbiology lab.
Computer Lab:The Institute has highly specialized & technically updated computer lab. The lab is well equipped with more than 150 computers connected with LAN and IBM server with CISCO network switches, CAT6 UTP network cables. Computer Network is protected by Sonicwall Firewall and McAfee Antivirus and also having power back up of upto ½ to all computers in a Lab. Devices like Interactive board, scanners, printers, CD writers, Speaker sets, Amplifier, Projector, etc are also available. The Institute has 20 mbps 1:1 leased line for 24 hour high speed internet from BSNL. Institute has installed Wi-Fi system to provide wireless internet to the students in the campus area.
Hostel Facility
Hostel facilities are available at the MGM hostel in the campus itself. The capacity of boys hostel is about 150 students and the capacity of girls hostel is about 350 students. All the accommodations on the campus are well equipped with all the modern amenities i.e. A/C rooms, Solar water heater, RO based water purification system, reading room, TV room, etc.. Besides this students who need private rental facilities are also available easily. Beautiful, Spacious & Secured hostel for boys and girls has been established in the campus. Seperate accommodation facility for NRI students.
