A candidate who has passed in Higher Secondary Examination with Biology and chemistry) as one of the subject under HSC board of examination, TamilNadu as per norms set by the Goverment of TamilNadu or an examination accepted as equivalent thereto by the syndicate shell be permitted to appear and qualify for the Bachelor of Biochemistry Degree

Three Academic Year (with six semesters)

A candidate who has passed – Higher Secondary Examination under Higher secondary board of Examination, Tamilnadu or as per norms set by the government of Tamilnadu or an examination accepted as equivalent thereto by the syndicate subject to such conditions as may be prescribed thereto are permitted to appear and qualify for the B.Sc Biotechnology Degree.

Three years (with six semesters)

A candidate who has passed Higher Secondary examination in any one of the biological Sciences (Academic/Vocational stream) under higher secondary board of examination, Tamil Nadu or as per norms set by the Government of Tamil Nadu or an examination accepted as equivalent thereto by the Syndicate are permitted to appear and qualify for the B.Sc., Microbiology.

Three Academic Year (with six semesters)

A candidate who have qualified their PG Degree Biochemistry / Biotechnology/ Microbiology / Chemistry / Botany / Zoology / Bioinformatics from Periyar University or any other University accepted by the Syndicate shall be permited to appear and qualify for the M.Phil Biochemistry

Full Time : One Academic Year; Part Time: Two Academic Years

candidate who have qualified for post graduate degree of Life science of this university or any other university recognized by the syndicate as equivalent shall be eligible to register for the degree of Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) in their respective subjects .Candidates who have qualified for their post graduate degree on or after 1st January 1991 shall be required to have a minimum of 55% of marks in their respective post graduate degree to become eligible to register M.Phil.

Full Time: One year; Part Time: Two years

Candidates who have qualified for Post graduate degree in Microbiology/ Botany/ Zoology/ Environmental Science/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Chemistry/ Home Science/ Nutrition and Dietics/M.Sc., MLT/ Genetics/ Bio – informatics/ Marine Biology of this University or any other University recognized by the Syndicate as equivalent thereto shall be eligible to register for the degree of Master of Philosophy.

Full Time : One Year; Part Time: Two Years

A candidate who has passed a Bachelor degree in Science with Microbiology/ Botany/ Zoology/ Environmental Science/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Chemistry/ Home Science/ Nutrition and Dietics/ B.Sc., MLT/ Genetics/ Bio – informatics/ Marine Biology/ Or a Bachelor degree in Agriculture/ Animal Science/ Medicine or Veterinary Science/ Pharmacy and including Indian forms of Medicines and Homeopathy degree of this University or any of the above degree of any other University accepted by the Syndicate are permitted to appear and qualify for the M.Sc., Applied Microbiology.

Two Academic Year (with four semesters)

A candidate who has passed B.Sc Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Microbiology / Chemistry / Botany / Zoology / Bioinformatics Degree of Periyar University or Any of the Degree of any other University accepted by the Syndicate shall be permited to appear and qualify for the M.Sc Biochemistry Degree.

Two Academic Year (with four semesters)

A candidate who has passed a Bachelor degree in Science with Biotechnology / Microbiology / Botany / Zoology/ Microbial gene technology Bioinstrumentation / Bioinformatics / Biochemistry / Chemistry / Agriculture/Marine Biology / Home Science / Nutrition and Dietics / Integrated biology / Plant science / Animal science / Fisheries science / Aquaculture/Mathematics with physics, chemistry as ancillary/Medical lab technology of this University or any other above degree of other University accepted by syndicate as equivalent their to ,subject to such conditions as may prescribed therefore shall be permitted to appear and qualify for the M.Sc Biotechnology Degree

Three years (with six semesters)

Candidates who have qualified for Post graduate degree in any Biological Sciences with not less than a second class or an equivalent grade are eligible. In the case of examinations, where classification does not exist, a minimum of 50% marks is needed in the qualifying examination.
