The College came into existence due to merger of two institutions, Kakatiya Degree College (Science), Warangal and Government Degree College (Arts & Commerce), Hanamkonda. The journey of Kakatiya Government College Hanamkonda (a Knowledge Gaining Centre – KGC) began on 5th April 1972 with a core objective “To provide a distinct environment of excellence in education with humane values & social commitment”. We are now familiar with our 5 Core Values – Trust in Divinity, Foster Integrity, Acquire Competencies, and Strive for Excellence and Serve the Society and the entire gamut of operations in this institution are woven with these 5 threads of Core values.
