Government First Grade College, Bannur

Government First Grade College, Bannur had its inception in the year 1996 with a meagre student enrolment of 58. The Institution is situated in Maliyur Extension which is 6.5 kms away from Bannur. The Institution is affiliated to the University of Mysore. The Institution caters to the educational needs of the students hailing from economically and socially backward rural regions. The Institution has a student’s enrolment of 650 in the Academic Year 2014-15, where girls outnumber the boys. Most of the students are first generation learners.
