DPBS College was established in 1965 by the Anglo Vedic Educational Association (AVEA), Anoopshahr to keep the memories of late Shri Durga Prasad Ji, a great social activist and educationist, alive and to promote higher education in backward area. Till 1983 the college was offering only BSc degree at the under graduate level. In 1984 the building was constructed and donated to the college by Jaiprakash Seva Sansthan for the Arts faculty. This contribution was acknowledged by then Management by adding the name of Shri Baljeet Singh, the father of Shri Jaiprakash Gaur to the institution. Since then the institution is known as Durga Prasad Baljeet Singh College.
Gymnasium: The college has a well equipped gymnasium with all the latest exercise machines and tools providing enough facilities to students to maintain their physical fitness.
Medical Facility: A well qualified physician is appointed for the purpose who diagnosis and prescribes medicines in case of normal illness and gives first aid in case of accidents and emergencies.
Canteen: During the gap ours the student can visit canteen which is located beside the Malviya Bhavan.
Library: The college library is well equipped with reference books, text books, journals, magazines and newspapers. The reading room of library provides a very peaceful environment where the students can utilize their time for study during their stay in the college.
