Harhi College was set up on 1996 (Academic Session 1998-1999) and its is situated at a beautiful landscape on the bank of the river Charikoria of the rural Sub-division Dhakuakhana, P.O.- Gobinapur in the District of North Lakhimpur (Assam), Pin- 787055. It is only a premier institution of Higher Education, covering almost 05 G.P. where most of the people basically belong to ST, SC, OBC and MOBC. The college is now till the date of establishment, imparting higher education and providing knowledge and skill in the faculty of Arts among the students. The college is situated at the HARHI region at a distance of about six kilometers to the of Dhakuakhana East of the town in between the broader area of Lakhimpur and Dhemaji Districts. The place where the college is situated, enjoys a unique place in the fields of art, literature and culture.
Library : The library has a collection of 6000 reading materials which includes texts, references, rare books, special collection of books on Human Rights, Medicinal Plants, Gandhian Thoughts, etc. Local Area Network (LAN) using SOUL software has been installed for automating in-house activities and services of the library for fast transaction of the library resources. The Library has newly taken the membership of the INFLIBNET, Ahmedabad. The library has been provided with internet connectivity for accessing e-resources.
Wi-Fi facility is available to faculty and students at the College library and departmental common room which is an initiative that facilitates independent learning among students. Sometimes students have been provided laptops to assist them in their academic pursuits. Laptops to be used in teaching are made available to teachers when required.
Canteen: Canteen facilities are also available in the College Campus. It is taking every care to provide fresh and quality food at a reasonable price.
Laboratories: There are well-equipped modern laboratories for the subjects of Anthropology and Education for conducting practical classes.

There are two hostels in the college, one for Boys’ and one for Girls’. The newly constructed two storied Girls’ and the Boys’ hostels are now providing a good facility for the girls as well as boys coming from different economically backward places.
