Shriram Institute of Management and Technology (SIMT) A UNIT OF THE SOCIAL WELFARE AND EDUCATION SOCIETY, KASHIPUR. From many years, the young generation of this region was facing problem to get higher education in professional courses. Seeing this, the society decided to setup this institute at Kashipur. The institute is dedicated to provide quality education at graduate and post graduate level. The institute is established on dated July 01, 2004. The Institute is on its own permanent premises since inception.
The institute is affiliated to Kumaun University, Nainital. It is also approved by AICTE and Affiliated to Uttrakhand Technical University(UTU), approved by Govt. of Uttarakhand and B.Ed. course is recognized by NCTE(vide letter no F.NRC/NCTE/F-3/UR-198/10212 dated November 08, 2004).

Library - The Central Library offers a growing book collection tailored to the requirements of the degree programs pursued at the Institute. The collection is carefully developed in Collaboration with the faculty. The new additions of books are regularly available to the students. The students have peaceful study areas for their work and research. The Library provides the facility of issuing books to the students
Sports - The institute has sports facility for the students. Students take part in sports for enjoyment, relaxation and exercise. These activities also serve as an aid to their self worth. There are indoor and outdoor games facilities. Track and field games are organized in SIMT.
 
 Scholarship Facility
The Institute grants Scholarships to the meritorious students of different courses. There are two types of Scholarships

The Training and Placement Cell is headed by a Placement Officer and assisted by dedicated officers. The cell keeps the lisaon with the Industries and its HR managers. The managers are regularly visited to interact with students and give them the feel of real life business situation. The purpose of the Training and Placement cell is to ensure that our students are well equiped to meet the challenges that real life working environment offers. The Training and Placement Cell acts as a bridge between the Industry and Institutions to take up Industrial training, Industrial visits, organizing seminars and other activities. Placement brochures are sent to reputed Industries & Organizations. Students are actively involved in these activities. The Training and Placement Cell organized guest lectures from Industries because no professional education is complete without adequate input from the Industry.
