Meenakshi Academy of Higher Education and Research has been started Department of Faculty of Engineering & Technology from the academic year 2008-2009.
Library: MAHER-FET has a well established - fully computerized library. The Library has excellent collection of Books, Journals and Compact Disc in Engineering and Technology, Humanities and Sciences and Management. The Library maintains separate collections of Reference Books, Thesis and Dissertations. The library uses Autolib Software OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue), wherein the users can search the Online Catalogue by Author's name, Title, Department, Publisher, year of Publication and keywords available on the campus LAN.
Transport:
Adequate transport facilities are being provided for the benefit of students and staff coming from various outskirts of the city. Many college buses ply to transport the students from various places in chennai city. In addition to that punctual service,the college transport also ensures the safety and security of the students.
Hostel Facility
There are two separate hostels for boys and girls inside the campus. The respective messes attached to the hostels provide hygienic and quality food. Spacious outdoor and indoor games facilities are provided for the students. A Qualified Medical officer visits the hostels thrice a week to take care of the health of the students. There are separate generators as stand-by for supply of electricity continuously. A vehicle in hostel for emergency use is in place at 24/7 basis .
