Founded in 1951 by His Excellency Rt. Rev. Dr Jerome M Fernandez, the college was formally inaugurated on 29th December 1952 by His Eminence Norman Thomas Cardinal Gilory, Papal Legate to India. Opening of St. JosephÔÇÖs guidance and counselling centre was a major step forward in catering to the psychological needs of the student community. The Language Laboratory for English enables the use of the electronic media for study of the Language. Both Major and Minor research projects are undertaken by the college from different funding agencies. Doctoral level specialization courses are offered in almost all subjects
