PSN College of Engineering and Technology was founded in the year 2001 by great visionaries and is headed by the managing trustee and chairman Dr. P. Suyambu, a multifarious personality and admirable academic brilliance. They strive to achieve academic excellence by futuristic outlook in the field of education in a well-disciplined environment through commitment to continuous improvement in all areas, involvement of people at all levels and through up-gradation of infrastructure and human resources.From the academic year 2012-2013, PSN College of Engineering and Technology has been conferred with Autonomous status by University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi.
Library : The Library is located in an easily accessible area near the Administrative Block, Research Block, Placement Cell and Class Rooms. Our library is functioning under the open access system is having a specialized collections of books, Journals, online journals and CDS, Project reports, Model question papers, back volumes section and internet facilities (Wi-Fi).
Common Computing Facility: The CCF comprises of eight laboratories (CSE, IT and other departments) having latest configuration machines. The wide range of software includes, C, C++, Java, Autocad, MatLab, Pro- E, Ansi C, Rational rose, DB2 etc. All systems are networked and anyone occupying a terminal can access resources available in the network, barring security restrictions. Students also learn how to hamess the capabilities of a network. NPTEL lecture notes on available in network(Intranet). The UG students are encouraged to register atleast one course in the network
Cafeteria : PSN Institutions have airy canteens at each of its campus. At the canteen, heart- healthy carte du jour is highly popular among students as well as staff members. Students enjoy their food in the clean, well maintained, aesthetic and appetizing atmosphere.
Transport : The institution has a strong transport system with a fleet of buses operating from our campus. They facilitate ease of conveyance for both students and staff. The buses ply to and from the prominent parts inside the city of Tirunelveli and its sub-urban areas.
Health Care: A 16 -bedded medical centre, equipped with basic infrastructure provides medical attendance to the students and staff with the facility of two qualified medical officers and five full -time staff nurses at the medical centre .Ambulance is available on campus for 24 hours. A separate medical care centre is functioning under the same roof for the girls of our college
Hostel Facility
We have provided separate hostel for boys and girls in the college campus. For accommodating the boys we have more than 250 rooms to accommodate 850 students and accommodating the girls we have more than 100 rooms to accommodate 500 students.
