Government Arts College for Women, Pudukottai is an affiliated College of the Bharathidasan University, Tamil Nadu. It is a grant in aid college situated in Pudukottai catering to womens education, particularly the socially and economically backward students of the district. The college was established in 1969 with the sole aim of imparting higher education to the women of this backward district. The Motto of the college is Self Reliance and Service. The motto stimulates the students to grow with self support and humanity. In its forty three years of service, the college has achieved considerable success in accomplishing its mission. The college is recognized under 2f and 12B of the UGC act.
Scholarship Facility
Government Arts College for Women provides education to the poor students of the society. Most of the students came from rural area and villages. Scholarships are provided for almost all the students of the college. Students can avail the scholarships provided by the state government and central government. All the UG and PG students are exempted from paying the tuition fees. Eligible students should apply in the prescribed form within the stipulated period.
