Government General Degree College

The Government General Degree College at Manbazar-II, Purulia is the first and, so far, the only government general degree college of the Purulia district. Its journey began from the year 2015 under the purview of the Director of Public Instruction, Higer Education Department, Government of West Bengal. The college is affiliated to the Sidho Kanho Birsa University, Purulia and offers several Under Graduate courses.

Library and Reading Room: There is a reading room with enough seating space for the students. The college has a generator of its own for uninterrupted supply of electricity. The college provides facilities for selected indoor games in the common rooms.
Cycle Stand: For the interest of the students and to avoid theft or loss of cycle, there is a cycle stand.
Student's Canteen: Good food, snacks and tea are supplied to the students at subsidized rates from the students’ canteen.
Common Room: College provides separate Girls’ and Boys’ common Room with indoor game facilities.
 
 Scholarship Facility
Financial aids are available to the SC/ST, OBC/MOBC categories of students through scholarship from the state and central government.
