Sree Narayana Guru College, Chelannur, is situated at the foot of the towering Kalari Hills, in a quiet village about 14 kilometers in the north-east direction from Kozhikode. The College has been affiliated to the University of Calicut with UGC NAAC Accreditation B+. The college has a serene and extensive campus of about 67 acres, by the side of Kozhikode-Balussery Road, noted for its scenic beauty and blessed with the natural spring water fountain in the south - east location. The institution has been catering to the academic needs and aspirations of the pupils in and around Chelannur for more than four decades. At present the college is one of the prestigious institutions of higher learning run by S.N.Trusts, Kollam. It is managed by the executive committee of the S.N. Trusts with Sri. Vellapally Natesan as the Manager. The Regional development committee, Calicut, assists the Trusts in the management and developmental activities of the college. The Principal is the ex-officio member of the Regional Development Committee.
library:The General Library of the College is fully automated. It has a vast collection of more than 30,000 books covering various subjects. The library also has a good collection of various magazines, journals and other periodicals.Department Libraries exist at the various departments wherein the head of the department or the Teacher in charge will make arrangements for the issue and return of books.
gymnasium :A well furnished gymnasium is working in the campus, to cater to the needs of students as well as teachers. The facility of the gymnasium can be availed of on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 6.30 am to 9.00 am and from 3.30 pm to 6.30 pm. No fee is charged for this facility. Students are expected to make good use of them to develop a healthy mind within a healthy body.

Ladies Hostel:
The College has a Ladies Hostel with around 60 inmates, both teachers and students. There are 18 rooms distributed among three floors, a study room, a TV room and a well equipped kitchen catering to the needs to the inmates. A senior teacher residing in the hostel is appointed as the Hostel Warden . The food required for the inmates is prepared in the hostel kitchen
Sports Hostels:
1. The Sports Council of Kerala has set up a sports hostel in the college for men from 1997 onwards. A coach has been appointed by the Sports Authority of India to give training in Volleyball.
2. Facilities for sports and games are provided in the college. Students are expected to make good use of them to develop a healthy mind within a healthy body.
3. Fitness Centre: A well furnished gymnasium is working in the campus, to cater to the needs of students as well as teachers. The facility of the gymnasium can be availed of on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 6.30 am to 9.00 am and from 3.30pm to 6.30 pm. No fees is charged for this facility.
