Padmavani Arts and Science College for Women

Our Padmavani Arts and Science College for Women has started its educational service since 1996. Its aim is to mould the poor girl students in and around Salem District. It shapes them as well-qualified staff members. It is affiliated to Periyar University, Salem and approved by the Government of Tamil Nadu. It addition the college is certified by International Organization of Standardization (ISO) 1998 – 2001. Further it is certified by University Grand Commission (UGC) 12 (f) and 12 (b) at first in the Salem District. It has been running peacefully with 10 UG Departments, 10 PG Departments and 5 Research Departments. It comprises of 5000 girl students and 100 talented staff members have been guiding and motivating them in curricular and extracurricular activities. Its aim is to build up the women potentially to meet the challenges in the society.

Library: We have a state of the art modern library which houses more than 7000+ books across different topics written by various reputed authors. Along with this, we also have more than 20 reputed journals, and 15 useful magazines. We subscribe to more than 6 newspapers both in Local Vernacular and English. Also our Library is Wi-Fi Enabled, with update subscriptions to DELNET, helping our students tap the global knowledge and expertise.
Laboratory: Well equipped laboratories with the best equipments and materials.
Language Lab: Lab provides a practical training to the students. Hence individual computer is providing to every students to develop their listening, speaking skills better.
Seminar Hall: In our campus a wonderful seminar hall is available with good audio and video facilities and OHP projector. It can accommodate more than 2000 students at a time. It is helpful for us to conduct every academic year.
Transport: Our Padmavani Educational Institutions have been serving a fleet of FREE BUSES numbering more than 25 for our students’ easy transport from different parts of the Salem district to avoid traffic jam in the hurry burry morning.
Canteen: An elite Caféteria is accessible in the campus. It is situated in beautiful surroundings. It offers tasty, quality, hygienic beverages and varieties of snacks items in affordable prices. In addition to it, a departmental store is also available for the benefit of the students.
