Urged by the strong feeling of kindly light of learning in the remotest backward areas of Burdwan and adjoining Birbhum and Murshidabad districts, the people wanted to establish a higher education centre in this region. There has been a ceaseless effort on the part of the local people to establish an Institute of Higher learning here for a long time and ultimately they got success with help of Sri Amar Chand Kundu, a famous social worker. Under the able leadership of local education loving people with the patronage of Sri Kundu, Kandra RadhaKanta Kundu Mahavidyalaya was founded on 16th, March 2001.
Laboratory: Well equipped Laboratories in Geography & Physical Education Deptts are there for the use of the students.
Canteen: There is a well furnished Canteen with Separate arrangements for Students & Staff within the College Campus.
Library: A good Library with reading facilities for Students is there. More than 11000 books are aviable to students & staff of the College.
