holds a Master’s degree in the concerned subject or in an allied subject (approved by Osmania University) with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate. In case of students belonging to SC and ST category, the aggregate shall be 50% marks AND ii) holds M.Phil Degre in the concerned subject or in an allied subject(approved by Osmania University) OR iii) is qualified in the UGC-CSIR/NET GATE examination or SLET examination of Government of Andhra Pradesh, or awarded a Research Fellowship by UGC/CSIR/Government OR iv) has published,as the first author,at least two research papers in the broad area of research in standard journals recognized by the university

A pass in MA(AIHCA) / MA (History)/ MA (Indian Culture) with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. 
For inservice candidates: A Bachelor Degree with 3 year relevant experience in Achieves/Record rooms and libraries including Oriental manuscript libraries

Through an Entrance Test conducted by the University

A Pass in MA (AIHC&A) with 50% marks with Museology as one of the subjects of study OR A Pass in MA History with Medieval History paper as specialization with 50% marks
