The National Centre for Rural Development (NCRD) is a registered Public Charitable Trust, founded in 1991 with the mission of Rural Development. During the course of its various activities aimed at the rural youth, NCRD realized early on, that true rural development is not possible without basic education for the rural folk, and hence NCRD entered the field of education about a decade ago. It is now actively involved in post-graduate education, including Information Technology, Pharmacy, Education & Management education through the “Sterling Institute of Technology & Management”, “Sterling Institute of Pharmacy” & “Sterling Institute of Management Studies.
Lecture Halls:The classrooms are equipped with multimedia and audiovisual aids to facilitate effective learning and to promote maximum interaction between faculty and the students.
Laboratories:The Institute houses 12 laboratories equipped with instruments and machinery to carry out the practical work effectively and smoothly on the daily basis. These labs are also inclusive of labs designed for post graduate research and development.
Computer Lab:Computer Education is a part of the pharmacy Curriculum. The institute has advanced computing facilities laced with 24 hrs uninterrupted internet access
Library Resource Center:The Library includes multiple number of national and international books, periodicals and journals. The E-library aims to facilitate production and dissemination of knowledge, information insights and intellectual contribution in all areas of education among the academic community.
Auditorium:The institute has a spacious air conditioned auditorium with a seating capacity for more than 500 students. The auditorium provides a great platform for organising seminars, conferences, workshops and also hosting many extracurricular programs for the student community.
Herbal Garden:The institute has developed a herbal garden which comprises of number of rare plants with unique medicinal attributes to help the student's study the nature’s treasure of the health.
Amenities:The campus has amenities for the students which include, canteen, Indoor Game facilities and a big ground to hold various inter and intra-institutional sport events.
