Udupi College of Nursing

Established in 2004, the Udupi College of Nursing offers nursing courses. The course aims to develop the students’ ideas, ethics, and conscience to create nurses of outstanding qualities, who are well aware of the human dimensions in this noble profession. The institute incorporates the requisite infrastructure to make provisions for the smooth pursuance of study in this stream. The laboratories, classrooms and clinical facilities aim to provide quality resource along with the informative curriculum to the students, thus shaping them into skilled and committed health care assistants.

Library: A Spacious and well equipped library with recent edition books from India and abroad are available to the students. The library also subscribed to Indian and Foreign Journals on nursing specialization fields. The back volumes are also available for the reference.
Examination Centre: We are proud to state that Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences has appointed Udupi College of Nursing as theory and practical examination centre for all nursing colleges in Udupi District since 2005.
Extra curricular activites: A number of opportunities are provided for the students to develop their skills and talents at various level such as lamp lighting programme, cultural events, World AIDS day, World Cancer day, Nurse day, Dance, indoor and outdoor games.
 
 Hostel Facility
Hostel Facilities Available: The hostel offers comfortable stay for the students within the campus during their course of study. The hostel is clean and comfortable and each room is provided with adequate facilities for study and stay. The hostel has a recreational hall, prayer hall and Television. Mess facilities are available with a well maintained dining hall adjacent to the hostel. Vegetarian/ Non- Vegetarian meals are prepared hygienically and served aesthetically.

Placement Service Available: UCN hosts a variety of employer visits for current students and graduates to advance their career in nursing. Healthcare industry representatives regularly visit campus for the opportunity to meet personally with our students. We also provide additional job placement assistance, such as job interview tips and help with résumé writing. Our graduates are successfully working in many hospitals in India and abroad. They are placed in Hospital setup such as AIMS, Manipal Hospital, Apollo Hospital, Columbia Asia etc.
