Goa College of Pharmacy, with its roots from Portuguese times as a Pharmacy department in a medical college ESCOLA MEDICA de GOA, renamed as Goa College of Pharmacy in 1963 with a dedicated campus, under the aegis of Government of Goa is on a journey to educate and nurture the finest quality pharmacist. Ever since its inception, GCP has focused on augmenting human resource by producing world-class Pharmacists. Alumni of our illustrious institute have distinguished themselves as industrialists, entrepreneurs, innovators, educationists, heads of prestigious organizations, practicing pharmacists. GCP, Goa which has become a brand name, is one of the top 25 pharmacy colleges in India as per the recent NIRF ranking conducted by MHRD. Since its inception in 1963, GCP is promoting excellence in pharmacy education through highly qualified faculty members and excellent infrastructure. In GCP, focus is not only in making all out efforts to build-in curriculum the capacity to innovate and ability to solve problems creatively but also enabling every student to develop soft skills such as communication, analytical ability, critical thinking and collaboration, which are in the current context far more important than academic knowledge.

 Hostel Facility
Goa College of Pharmacy as hostel accommodation, separate for Boys and Girls which are situated at Altinho, near the Doordarshan Complex in the Panaji city (a kilometer vicinity of the Institute). The hostel for boys has 27 rooms on sharing basis of three student per room, a common wash room area equipped with hot water facility, a central dinning facility, three guest rooms, kitchen reading room and a warden residence. The hostel for girls has on sharing basis of three student per room, a common wash room area equipped with hot water facility, a central dinning facility, three guest rooms, kitchen reading room and a warden residence.

The Placement Cell is managed by the Mrs. Rajashree S. Gude, who handles all aspects of placements at Goa College of Pharmacy, right from contacting companies to managing all logistics of arranging for tests, pre-placement talks and conducting final interviews the Placement officials and volunteers provide their best possible assistance to the recruiters.
