The Academy was established in April 2012 by one of the leading hotel group “The Sonnet” having their hotels at Jamshedpur and Kolkata by a group of enterprising persons who got together to set up an Academy with a vision of providing opportunities for deserving candidates and honing their skill sets to make them suitably talented and qualified for the thriving hospitality industry. It is the first International standard academy in the city of Jamshedpur to offer degree-level courses focusing on hospitality management. The support of The Sonnet Group of Hotels provides The Academy’s students with access to superlative properties and a first-hand practical experience of the working of this dynamic industry.

Attached to our two properties at Jamshedpur and Kolkata under the name and style of ''The Sonnet''. The students get to learn by observing and perfrming live operations right from the very beginning. The students are sent to different areas of operations at the attached hotel units of The Sonnet Group. The students are given precise learning objectives beforehand. For a stipulated period, they work as a part of the department they are assigned to, taking part in the real operations. The main objective of this program is to bring about a strong industry-institute interface in hospitality academics. The entire pedagogy of educational deliverance at our academy is being designed in such a way that, the students get dual inputs ; one from the interaction with faculty members within classrooms and laborites.
 
 Hostel Facility
The hostels are designed to provide an ideal environment conducive for academic pursuit with security and safety given utmost priority. We have separate hostel for boys and girls, having transport facilities for the hostilities at a very reasonable rate. The hostel facilities help students feel at home and enable them to pursue their studies in a peaceful and comfortable atmosphere. Admissions to the Hostels: Applications for admission to the hostels should be made in the prescribed form. A student seeking hostel admission must give an undertaking in writing that he/she will abide by the rules of the hostel. The parent or guardian shall endorse it. All matters related to the Hostel admission are dealt by the Warden/ Hostel in charge.

As an added advantage we have our own properties at Jamshedpur and Kolkata. Our Training & Placement Cell asists all students in obtaining industry placements through on / off campus interviews. Apart from the above, studetns are also place for 6 Months off - site training at reputed five and four star properties in India.
