The Grant Govt Medical College, Central Medical Reference Library is one of the oldest libraries in Asia and its origin dates back to British times 1845 at the time of establishment of the college.The library is rich in medical literature dating back to British period 1845 and has retained much of the very old rare collection in the form of old medical journals and books and monographs since that period . Sincere efforts are underway to preserve the rare valuable collection as far as possible with a view to preserve and enrich the National Heritage ,Medical Literature collection.
