The Institution was established in the year 1994. It is housed at a Jayamahal segment of Bangalore City, which is a minority bound region providing education to all sects of people.The present institution in its primal period was functioning under the banner of ayamahal Government First Grade College in a rented building on CBI Road, Ganganagar, Bangalore during 1993 – 1999. It was shifted to the present new building in the year 1999. It was rechristened as Lal Bahadur Shastri Government First Grade College, in remembrance of the great freedom fighter. Setting with a new vision, mission goals and ives, began to function by providing an inclusive education to all sects of people. Presently there are totally 334 boy and 433 girl students studying including 2 Physically Challenged Candidates.
