Omayal Achi College of Nursing is run by MR. Omayal Achi MR. Arunachalam Trust, Public Charitable Trust established in the year 1976 in memory of the late Mr. MR. Arunchalam and his mother Mrs. MR. Omayal Achi. The Trust has established the Omayal Achi College of Nursing in July 1992 with the Motto “Love to Serve” to prepare Qualified & Specialized Nurses to meet the evergrowing demand for Nurses. The College has an excellent infrastructure including qualified faculty to run both the Undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
The college is affiliated with the Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University and is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council & TN Nurses & Midwives Council

1 .	B.Sc. Nursing
	Eligibility 2. The minimum education requirement shall be a passing in Higher Secondary. Examination (+2 ) or equivalent with 50 % aggregate in Physics,Chemistry, Biology and English.
	Duration 4 years
	No. of Seats 50 seats
	Other Details Only female, single candidates are eligible The minimum age for admission to B.Sc(N) course will be 17 years on or before 31st December of the respective year. 3. Candidate shall be medically fit.

2 .	Diploma in Nursing
	Eligibility 10th Standard Pass from a recognized Board or University with any subjects with minimum 35% marks pass in all subjects preferably in English Medium and should have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or would complete the said age on or before 31st December of the year of admission.

3 .	M.Sc. Nursing
	Eligibility Pass in B.Sc.,(Nursing) Degree Programme with 55% of marks from the Tamilnadu Dr.M.G.R. Medical University or its equivalent.
	Duration 2 years
	No. of Seats 4 Seats each in 5 Specialities. Total: 20 Seats
	Other Details Registered with the respective State Nursing Council In case of Male Candidates other subject prescribed by the Indian Nursing council in lieu of Midwifery. 4. Should have minimum 1 year of experience, after B.Sc(N) Course Completion

4 .	Ph.D. Nursing
	Eligibility Pass in M.Sc(Nursing) examination with 60% marks Minimum 5 years of experience after M.Sc(Nursing)
	Other Details Ph.D.,(Nursing)In Community Health Nursing & Obstetrics & Gynaecological Nursing

5 .	Post Basic Diploma in Oncology Nursing
	Eligibility All Candidates should have a minimum educational requirement of pass in Professional Qualification (GNM/ B.Sc/ PBB.Sc) Possess a minimum of one year experience as staff nurse
